Thank you for the very useful video clip. The inspirational voiceover combines words and images very well, very inspiring. For a long time, I often misunderstood telephoto lenses, thinking that this lens was only for taking simple distant images, rarely thinking that it brought artistic value. Thank you very much.

Your video is great in some areas but your explanation and all these new "rule of thumbs" are very dominant and can really close the mindsets of new photographers. There's no such thing as "wrong aperture" please don't promote that toxicity. Each artist has their own individual creative vision. The camera club terminologies used sounds very smart, but does not account for anything that keeps the photographer in the making from utilizing their fullest, open minded creativity. I've shot plenty of times in F22 with no defraction nor softness. I've also shot F1.8 with everything I MYSELF NEEDED IN MY SHOT it required ... totally 100% sharp. This is 2024, people shoot all kinds of ways and it's all about the artists vision now. Yes there's mistakes or things to correct in post possibly but that's where the teachings should lie on not plain ol "wrong aperture". Tell the new ones to stop posting every single blurry and how out focus shot they did maybe. Not everything has to be blown away to outer space and not everything has to stop down to get sharpness, that's where your DoF came to play but you never discussed it, just discussed what it is but not how to utilize it beyond the camera club's made up "standard procedure". Pixel peeking is only camera clubs and people who severely overthink it. Focus stacking is one of them, way too much and extremely time wasting in the field especially nature. Not everything has to be Hattori Hanzo sword sharp everywhere on the photo. Vignettes, I can agree to an extent(it's the over use of it where it's applied extremely to much that's the issue). Macro I can see it for sure but a wide shot?... nah. Sun stars ... seriously? Why even discuss that? We don't buy lenses for sun stars. You also contradicted yourself by titling (wrong aperture) then you said there's no right or wrong... pick one

My 18_55 mm lens only works on the lowest aperture is i put it up it gives error 01 how to i fix that?

Honestly there are quite a few issues with your review. I don't think you understand what pixel shift is really made for and how it's designed to be used. If you do ( which is hopefully more likely) I feel you should actually show its intended use as well as point out its flaws. Rather than pointing out that 61mp is too much for you , maybe think why the sensor was made like that and then what it can do for you and others. For example it would be a fantastic feature if Sony made it possible to have custom or at least more than just super 35 crop , like the Leica Q3 which I believe uses the same sensor. Just a few bits that I felt was off

I'm curious about the rain on your filter during the long exposure. It seems like you kept wiping it off. That was quick enough with the rag and clear without drops long enough to work? Did you do anything special to succeed in keeping the rain off and getting a good shot?

Just awesome and inspirational as always! Just curious however, what were your considerations in not masking the top of the frame in the bird & net image vs darkening the sky in the bridge photos?

This is one of my favorite videos of you, maybe even the best so far. The places might not be iconic like some others in the world, but they are authentic and especially places I like. I have been there at the Great Belt Bridge and also at the Bellevue Beach taking pictures of the lighthouse, unfortunately a little after the blue hour. The first picture of the fishing net is incredible beautiful. The second of the bridge is awesome too. And the pictures of the lighthouse are outstanding fine art to me. Than you mentioned "Micheal learns to rock". Instantly, I remembered the song "25 minutes" and had to listen to it. So, very good memories came back in my mind. Sorry for the long post, but I am so excited and happy watching this video. Great photos, nice places, awesome music and you, sharing all those things with us. Thank you very much. Mads...do you have a video showing how to blend two images in PS? I only use LR Classic, and am not familiar with PS, though I do subscribe to LR and PS.

Love this video Mads! Which camera are you using? I have the A7Rv and would like to go out in these conditions but I do worry about the weather sealing at times.

Did you record all of this using Osmo Pocket 3 or other camera?

The bridge shot with the grainy waves is the best here, I think. By the way, and I'm not aiming this at you, I hate the term 'fine art' with a passion. It sounds so ridiculously pretentious. Blegh.

The second bridge photo is nice and moody, but I have to admit that I don’t have same feelings for the rest. All those long exposeres with out whitened waves gives me nothing. I’d rather see real waves in the photo. I know what they are. That fluffy ”snow” what’s that? Not a real thing. Just my opinion.

I do a lot of this Photography in my area because I live in a cooler place and I change the editing into that blue tone. Sometimes I really like your images. I shoot similar stars. I'm not a big fan of the three minute exposures but give me a two second exposure one second or sometimes a quarter and you get some really cool Looks

Hi Sir, great review. I'm getting a 4 year old Sony 100-400 GM in the same price of Tamron 50-400. Help me to choose one, should i get Sony 100-400 as it's native lens but a bit old. It will turn 7 this year OR new Tamron 50-400? Going to pair it with my Sony a7IV. Thanks
